The Dreamer:

I am currently in the Masters International Program which is a mixture of graduate school and Peace Corps service.

The specifics of this mixture include the Plant Pathology Masters Program in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with Texas A&M (which is also where I completed my undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology in the College of Science) and service in the Peace Corps with Community Economic Development.

The country I am serving in is Azerbaijan. The language I will be learning is Azerbaijani (or Azeri).

Both programs, Peace Corps and Masters, are challenging on their own, so this blog will primarily be about my strange experiences with the mixture and odd reactions I have to normal occurrences with each.

05/2009: Acceptance into Grad Program

08/2009: Start of Grad School

11/2009: Medical Packet Received

02/2010: Medical Packet Sent Off

05/2010: Invitation Received

09/2010: Staging

12/2010: Move to Barda
4/2011: Applied for SPA Grant

5/2011: SPA Grant Accepted

5/2011: Start of Organic Project

11/2011: Grand Opening of Worm House

11/2011: End of Organic Project

11/2012: 2 Weeks in AMERICA

12/2012: Start of Sports Complex Project
